CV: As a managing partner, Markus Schwitzke is responsible for Schwitzke Identity Design GmbH. Born in 1975, he represents the next generation of the Schwitzke group. Whilst studying at the International School of Design in Cologne, his main points of focus were ecology and design and he wrote his dissertation on the topic of social ethics. He also worked for various agencies in Cologne while he was still studying. As a design graduate, he made the move to Schwitzke & Partner and initially worked in the competition department where he was able to acquire extensive retail expertise. Markus Schwitzke established the branch in Dubai in 2004, and managed it for over five years, managing numerous projects in the Middle East and India. In 2010, he moved back to Düsseldorf to found the branding agency Schwitzke ID (former Graphics). Since then, he has been scrutinising structures and turning processes upside down to ensure that he does not simply engage in a project when everything has already been defined. His goal – both back then and today: being involved from the very outset, co-developing, posing questions and coming up with answers. Always making sure that he is able to provide holistic advice and to implement projects in a consistent manner. And to set brands on their road to success.
