The tourist information is the business card of a city. It is the first address for visitors and should also provide a contact point for citizens.

The "Visit Düsseldorf" tourist information centre is located in the middle of the historic old town, in the direct vicinity of the Uerige, Düsseldorf's famous home brewery. The Old Town is fondly referred to as the "longest bar in the world" and the location is at the same time a concept: a long wooden bar develops through the 120 m² room and at the same time forms the starting point for the "Tour through Düsseldorf".
It connects the different thematic areas with each other and dissolves a rigid separation between staff and visitors. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a view of a media wall that presents the tourist offer as well as event highlights. A wall-sized illustration behind the wooden counter outlines Düsseldorf's sights and characteristics of the city. The Tourist Information is barrier-free and offers a tactile city map in the entrance area for orientation.
