Mile after mile, all data and electrical lines, along with the plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning systems, were upgraded to the latest technical standards.
25,000 sqm, some of it standing under historic preservation protection, all in just 16 months. After completion, 700 administration employees were scheduled to return to work in their new offices in a
thoroughly refurbished, thermally insulated building with a new connecting bridge between the two sections. On the roof: photovoltaics. Plus 600 newly glazed windows. And an impressive, barrier-free new entrance area.
Many jobs for many experts. At peak times, Schwitzke Project coordinated over 150 of them. With the “open book” method, which takes an agile and two-track approach, individual construction phases are launched while subsequent steps are planned concurrently. This ensured speed and transparency – and a satisfied client, not to mention the 700 employees who were able to occupy their new building on time.
