- Special features: The interior design was available in part only in sketch form; the fit-out was executed parallel to other construction measures in the framework of a large-scale building restoration.
- Approach: General contracting, from construction documentation and installation planning right through to turnkey handover; close-meshed interface management.
- Design: Schwitzke & Partner.
There was no model for the interior design elements – such as the wood wall cladding in turquoise blue. After successful mock-up at the factory, it was installed in the new Natsu food court, setting the key color accent.
Natsu Foods wanted to complement its business as a supplier to supermarket fresh food counters with its own food court restaurant where it could receive guests.
The interior design existed in part only as scribbles. The location: one of the largest building transformations in Düsseldorf. Not only Schwitzke Project was on the premises.
At the factory, Schwitzke Project created, developed, and tested a number of prototypes – for everything from the counter installation to the coat hooks. The idea took shape.
On-site, it was constant rush hour. In addition to Schwitzke Project’s own subcontractors, hundreds of tradespeople worked in parallel on various fit-outs. This demanded close coordination with the other involved contractors and with the landlord.
High-tech preparations. The wood flooring and all of the fittings were laid. The new kitchen was installed. The selected chairs and custom-made tables complete with USB ports were quickly set in place and connected. Everything was ready. After three months, right on time, Natsu opened as a new spatial experience.
