This is the challenge that was faced by Schwitzke Project with smartments Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. While guests continued to check in and out, the apartments and common areas were modernized step by step. The project demonstrates how existing properties can be sustainably upgraded without incurring downtime.

The energy-efficient renovation placed high demands on planning, logistics, and communication. To ensure guest comfort, noisy work was permitted only during strictly defined time slots. At the same time, the team worked on two floors simultaneously and coordinated multiple trades at once in order to meet the ambitious schedule.

The compact rooms and narrow corridors require precise logistics to ensure that work can be carried out efficiently and guest operations continue without disruption.
