Fashion & Friends with a new store concept in Ljubljana

With the new Fashion & Friends store in Ljubljana, one of Southeast Europe’s leading fashion retailers has reached a strategic milestone in brand and location development. The newly developed retail and store concept translates the positioning as a modern multi-brand platform into a clear, scalable architectural language and lays the foundation for future expansion.
The 650 m² store in Ljubljana’s largest shopping mall was conceived as a prototype for the new design concept. Open spatial zones, clear sightlines, and intuitive customer guidance enable efficient use of space and a flexible presentation of over 40 international fashion brands.
The material and color concept reinforces the brand identity and the urban character of the retail design. Stainless steel defines architectural clarity, the brand’s signature red ensures a strong brand presence, while light chestnut wood creates warmth and balance. Textured concrete surfaces, an abstract mosaic floor, and a large-scale illuminated ceiling structure the space and support visual orientation.
The changing areas are also designed as independent experience zones. Black and white real wood veneer, inspired by the postmodern design language of the 1980s, sets a striking design accent within the store concept.
With its new store concept, Fashion & Friends positions itself as a future-oriented international fashion retailer. The retail design, developed by Schwitzke & Partner, combines design quality, brand strength, and economic functionality, serving as a robust prototype for future locations.
