Cookie Couture brings color to Cologne's Schildergasse
Düsseldorf, September 2026
Cookie Couture is continuing its expansion with the new store on Cologne’s Schildergasse. For the approximately 70-square-meter space, Schwitzke & Partner developed a store concept that sharpens the young brand’s look and feel while simultaneously creating a deliberate counterpoint to the bustle of the city center.
Inspired by American cookie culture, French pâtisserie, and German craftsmanship, a distinctive brand world was created. The concept combines nostalgia with a modern, eye-catching presence.
Pretty Pink: Color as a Trademark
The brand’s signature dusty pink hue defines the entire store, serving as a unifying theme throughout the design. Even from the outside, the façade—finished in the same shade—makes a bold statement on Schildergasse and ensures high brand recognition. Inside, this distinctive pink meets mosaic tiles, metal, and colorful surfaces. The lighting concept by CANDUS adds further accents and enhances the impact of the materials and colors. The result is a store that consistently translates the Cookie Couture identity into the physical space and conveys a distinct attitude at first glance.
Store design somewhere between a café and a snack shop
The new location combines a café and a snack shop into a compact retail concept. At the same time, the design is tailored to the needs of a growing brand. Display areas and merchandise have been designed to showcase products effectively while creating visually appealing settings for social media. Self-ordering terminals further support in-store operations. This transforms the space into more than just a point of sale; it becomes a stage for the brand and its community.
A store for a new generation of food brands
Founded in Cologne in 2022, Cookie Couture now operates 20 locations across Germany. The new store demonstrates the importance that design and atmosphere can hold for young gastronomy and food concepts; after all, the product is no longer the sole focus. Instead, the space itself becomes part of the brand identity and the overall experience.
For us, Schildergasse is thus another example of how hospitality design, brand presentation, and the retail experience interact.
